Greek PM in Paris for meeting with Macron, exhibition “Paris-Athens: Birth of Modern Greece”

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in Paris on Monday for a meeting with President Emmanuel Macron and the inauguration of the exhibition “Paris-Athens: Birth of Modern Greece” at the Louvre Museum. The exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution and aims to highlight the ties that unite Greece and European culture.

Macron and Mitsotakis will inaugurate the exhibition together in the evening and then have a working dinner at the Palais des Champs-Elysees.

Mitsotakis and Macron will have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues that concern both countries. The discussion will also cover the latest international diplomatic developments.

Worth noting that Mitsotakis’ visit in Paris comes ahead of Greece’s decision on the purchase of frigates for the Navy, with France to be a strong candidate.
