Greek, Turkish officials final meet for positive agenda talks



Greek and Turkish official met in Athens on Monday where they held a meeting in the context of a Positive Agenda dialogue in the fields of the economy and trade.


Specifically, Greece’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis on Monday concluded his third meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Sedat Onal.


The meeting was held in Athens in the context of the Positive Agenda in the dialogue with Turkey in the fields of the economy and trade.


The two sides expressed their satisfaction over the progress made in specific issues.

Specifically, they welcomed the start of negotiations for the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Enterprise Greece and the respective Turkish organisation Invest in Turkey, the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates against COVID-19, the progress of the Joint Committee for Tourism, as well as for the re-activation of the Joint Economic Committee, the Foreign Ministry said in an announcement.


The two top officials also discussed commercial and business relations between the two countries, the prospects for collaboration in transport and telecoms as well as closer cooperation to address environmental challenges.
